Summer learning loss (aka "the summer slide") accounts for about two-thirds of the 2 year achievement gap by 9th grade. While students from middle- and upper-income students benefit from summer camps, tutors, and educational travel that lead to learning gains, lower-income students are more likely to fall behind. We promote equitable summer learning through STEM scholarships and partnerships with local schools.
